Unit Stacking Order

Post by born2see »

Is there a way to change which unit is on top when looking at the map? I wanted to see a HQ unit but it's buried under another unit counter. I know I can go to the OOB, click on the HQ unit and then see it in the Unit Panel on the left but it would be nice for me, a new player who doesn't have a thorough knowledge of the OOB to see the HQ units on the map at a glance.

Thanks,

click on the stack until they change order, each time you click / select a different one comes to the top, no idea how to make all of them do it another way mind you, or auto each time etc, sorry.

Thanks for the quick response. That's what I would have expected, unfortunately it doesn't work. In The Road to Minsk scenario I select the stack which has the 25th Infantry Division and the XXIII Corps HQ. No matter if I click on the stack, or the different units in the Unit Panel or even if I separate them by moving one and then re-stacking, the 25th ID is always on top. I'm using the Steam version and it's updated to 1.08.08.

'Tis a mystery.

Thanks

Every unit has a db ID. If you hover with mouse over the stack you will see UNIT #123. AFAIK unit with the highest ID is always on the top and its not possible to cycle the stack.

Hmmm... player comfort thing. Luckily, not needed to play well. Who knew (besides 821?)
