Slider toolbar mod

Forum dedicated to the Scourge of War Game set during the Napoleonic Wars. Scourge of War: Waterloo follows in the footsteps of its American Civil War predecessors and takes the action to one of the most famous battles in history. In the mods directory of game (steam or matrix installation), is necessary activate it from the modification screen.

this is very cool, thanks. Is there a way to control timing of toolbar animation so it 'snaps' in rather than slides in?

Also has this been tested in MP?

cheers

Looks great but I can't get it installed. I first downloaded new patch and that is working fine. Then I clicked on Mitra's link and downloaded slider file and extracted the file into c:\users\mike\Documents\SowWL\Mods\. It does show up in the SowWL folder under Mods but does now show as an option in the game itself' The Grog toolbar is there as well as the Waterloo campaign, but not the new slider.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Zak,

Thanks for reply but the slider option does not show up in that screen. I have tried a few times extracting and then starting game and looking under the mod tab but do not see the option for the slider.

I will try again.

does you mod folder look like this?

Image

i have it installed on steam, and my steam folder in on my D drive, but the rest of the information is or should be correct, the file comes in a zip file which you unzip and put the folder in the mod directory as shown, then in game it shows up in the modification folder where you select it and add it to the game, i also think but maybe wrong you can't have both toolbars at once, but mitra76 will have to comment on this but for me it's one or the other not both i think, not tried tbh to have both either, but normally with mods when both do the same thing you wouldn't be able to so just not tried it either[;)]

good luck hope it helps

You have to place it inside the mods directory of game not in c:\users\mike\Documents\SowWL\Mods\

I unzipped the tool to my Steam SOW Waterloo mods folder and they it appears on the game's mod screen. I select it and hit "Use selected mod". Still nothing.

please place a screenshot of your modification screen and of your in game screen; check also in the SOWWL.log if, after having started a game, the game reports to have loaded the mod (is in the first lines after the loading start).

Zak and Mitra:

Sorry for my lack of computer knowledge, When I have downloaded scenarios, I extract them to that directory c:\Users\Mike\Documents\SowWL\Scenarios and they show in the scenarios tab of the game itself and I can play them.

I cannot even find Scourge of War Waterloo in a folder except in c:\Users\Mike\Downloads. If I go to the control panel, under programs, I see the game. If I click this, it starts the game. If it helps, I bought directly from Matrix and used the disk to install the game. Then, I have updated the game with all patches, through 1.01 the other day. I can also see this patch in this same downloads folder.

So I cannot find the folder that Zak has. Of course I am not on Steam.

Sorry still confused.
