It would be interesting if you had the option to pay PP, supply, fuel, and/or repair points to salvage ships sunk in PH, or any major harbor for that matter. The value in the long term may not be a lot. But the morale value and national culture appeal would be strong for those players wanting to stay as historical as possible.

Other images show one, possibly two, triple rear turrets, smokestack and general layout looks like one of the older Battleships.

Naive question: the pic of the Oklahoma is dated March 1943. So by that time, the ship had been in salt water for some 16 months. Wouldn't the corrosion have rendered it completely unusable by that time, even if they did dry it out? How could any machinery still be operable or even repairable? [&:]

The USS Oklahoma was to be towed to the US for scrap. She sunk during the return trip.

Judging from the wiki articles of the three ships in class it may have been Mississippi: She was in PH from 2 March to 10 May 1943.

A few years ago, one of my mother's aunts spent some time talking about her experiences in Hawaii during WWII. She'd gone out there to be a secretary in the shipyard offices. I remember when she talked about raising the Oklahoma, she still sounded unhappy about the fact that the ship sank on the way to the West Coast, even 60+ years later!

IIRC the Brits were towing that fantastic Warspite to the breakers and the phantoms aboard allowed her the dignity of an at sea burial.

THAT was a ship which should have been saved.
