Error in Win 8.1

I am having persistent errors with a fresh Command install on my new laptop running Windows 8.1. See attached.

I just ran it on Win 10 and my old win 8.1 laptop and no issues. Let it run accelerated at 15 sec. for 6 hours game time and no crash on my systems.

Does this happen only with Duelists or other scenarios? Is it happening at load everytime or randomly.

You've gone through the command not starting strings correct?

All scenarios. Scenarios load but when I go to give orders it crashes. I'm going to reinstall to another partition other than the OS partition and see if that makes a difference (OEM file rights issues???).

Hi Chris,

We've observed this in the past when applying the current release to a much older installation (ie. missing one of the DLLs). Can you please re-download and apply the current "base" installer? (This will ensure that you have v1.08 installed before applying the current RC).

You should be able to download it from the MatrixGames website.

The one they provided me is Wargame of the Year v1.05. That works until I patch it to the current RC.
