I'm having a really weird circumstance and I cant seem to find the answer, I think it might be the mod. My ships are not defending there defined system. Theres pirates rampaging through it and the fleet is just sitting there. for some reason it keeps refueling itself and doesn't go after the target. Have I installed the mod wrong?

Yeah I did, was a bit of a pain, kept crashing on me for no good reason but it works now.

How's it not working for you? It works even if you don't integrate the BaconWorld folder. If you want the fighterbays all you need to do is add them at the end of the components list and add those components to the research list for the figherbays. Then you need to modify the Terraforming facility by copying the one from BaconWorld, and you're done...

Just an FYI, I haven't played DW for a long time, and I haven't seen Mordachai for a long time either so you guys are on your own merging with BaconMod.

No problem, I got it working with every mod so far. I'll help the other stragglers out if they need it.

At around every ship, and every base should be a borders, such as triangles, hexagons, diamons, squares etc... But in my case they are invisible, or totally transparenet.
So when any ship arrive, at my base i cant recognize, which faction is it, and what kind of ship.
Guys what happened ?

In the mod look under images / ui / shipsymbols and make sure the borders are there.

There is also a hot key in the game that toggles the shapes on and off. I think it's D or something like that.

I am having a slight issue trying to use Bacon's executable and is related to fighters, the autobuild seems to only build fighters on ships and stations with hangars, and since I don't have the dedicated hangars from bacon's mod, t is probably that.

if you know the work around... (as much as I liked Bacon's mod, I like the FTL speeds of this mod better)

They are separate things. No overwriting. If you want a challenge try RetreatUE. I'm biased but it's designed to be hard.

I haven't looked at my Mediafire page in a long while. I was totally surprised to see 4800 downloads of RetreatUE. I literally was expecting 50. Thanks for trying it. Made my day.

I had to redownload Unleashed Extended II and RetreatUE but now I get an error message saying the components list exceeds 170 components.

First of all: THANK YOU Roger and Retreat for the amazing work you put into these mods, i have been using them on their own for quite some time but just recently discovered some of the most amazing features!

so, after a couple of hours of fiddling around, I just got Bacon Mod (1.67) to work with RetreatUE

- integrated Roger's Bomber Bay Components into the RetreatUE research tree (they produce bombers like they should)
- Caleph as well! (Caleph Bomber Bays were missing in Das123's upload)

here is how:
Step 1: Install Bacon Mod (1.67 in my case) from Thread http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4263783
Step 2: Install Retreat1970's Unleashed Extended II + AI research orders from Thread #3834204
Step 3: Navigate to ... \Distant Worlds Universe\Customization\RetreatUE
Step 4: change this line in facilities.txt:
9, Terraforming Facility, 7, 0, 9, 20000.0, 2000.0, 200, 500, 80, Repairs planetary damage to a colony, thus improving the quality and increasing the happiness and income of the colony. Although damage will naturally repair over time, the Terraforming Facility repairs damage much faster

Step 5: add these lines to the end of components.txt:

I think that might be it. I've updated it to the latest 1.9.5.12 but when I go to the title screen it always says 1.9.5.10 so I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it. But when I go to update it the software claims that Its already at the latest. So I think there is a bug somewhere, but I just don't know which files to delete for a fresh install.

Wouldn't that ruin the ship designs?

Personally, I just find them too small/cheap for what they do. I can understand them on big ships, but fitting 10 on an escort seems a little OP.

I've got everything fixed, and am able to play again. Which is nice. But now I have a new problem. I can't seem to open the component guide in the research tab. I thought it used to be the middle mouse button, but that doesn't work.

Also, it seems that some of my private ships and the private ships of independent planets just sit around the planet and don't move. Is this normal?

Well yeah, but why aren't they getting orders? They're just sitting there, the same ships, for years.

One more thing, I keep getting recommendations to build an Energy research station on my home planet at the beginning of the game. I think it's a bug. Because the recommendations stop when I build a couple of defense stations instead. At least for a few years, then it comes back.

Also, how do I stop pirates from offering protection? It clutters up the right side of the screen.

Thanks so far for the mod, I love it!
