1941 GC Sudden Death or Alt VC260 1.08.2
Server game
Locked HQ Support
Full FOW

House Rules:
No Para drops at all.
No bombing of air bases more than 3 times a turn (after turn 1)
No bombing of HQ's unless stacked with a ground unit
No naval invasions before November 1941, none outside the 1939 Soviet borders before January 1943
In addition if Sevastopol is either isolated, or in German hands, none west of the Crimea,
which reflects the scope for air/naval interdiction not really reflected in the game.

Additional Auto VC:
If the Axis player holds
Leningrad, Moscow, Voronezh and Rostov concurrently at any time in 1941 he wins
an Auto Victory. No need to waste any ones time as we all know the end results based on past games if these cities fall in 1941.

Optional Rules Setup:

Normal Blizzard Rules
Non Random Weather
No 1-1 = 2-1

This person like 4 before him asked me not to put his name on this game.

This is like a lot of games begin i think, lots of soviet units encircled, maybe this one is worst.

The 7 units west of Minsk still have a chance to retreat in the rear.

Michel.

Pelton I can't see how your 2 Pz div hit on Riga is a sure thing. Even with massive air support the Soviet modified defense is sometimes well over 400 and how can you achieve a modified attack strength twice that ?? I know you're good, but not that good :) :) [image][/image]

That little group west of Minsk might be dead. One of the units has to move at least two hexes to open a line to the friendly hexes and there just may not be enough MPs to do it.

I have that listed in my opening moves I have posted. I have it all mapped out for anyone who like to see it in another AAR thread I do believe.

AGN: No resistance as 4th PG takes Pskov and drives another 30 miles towards Leningrad. Air drops are made to PG divisions.

AGS so far as been on a nice summer drive rolling up 3 citys and clearing the roads for the infantry. XIV does a HQBU, while the 3 GD all have over 50% fuel. Fuel drops where made to 2 PD and they are both over 50% fuel. AGS should easly be able to lock down another 20 armament pts and 9 hvy in D+Z towns for a total of 36 which is over the 30 min to have some impact. I will then have to do 2 or 3 to go for Kharkov and Stalino areas. Not sure how the new HQBU rule set will effect that, so far zero effect to my southern blitz.

You simply can not nerf Romania.

AGC: I did not do any HQBU's and all the transports are in the south. The infantry will hit the line next turn, unless something magical happens Leningrad is going down.

That's the furthest I've ever seen the axis get towards Leningrad by turn 3. Did Mr. X not defend Pskov?

AGS: I did 1 more HQBU this turn. I been rotating Panzer Corp 1 per turn just as I have always done from 1.00.

The 1st HQBU on turn 2 was a flop so next game I will not bother on turn 2, better in the long run anyways.

I have locked down D-Z Town and crosses the river to the north and south of Z-Town. I am at the limit of the HQBU chain next turn so I will have only a slim shot at Kharkov and Stalino.

The new rule set requires a slight adjustment to the over all plan, but with the same results.

You did GJ, Leningrad still fell, but was in 42.

That was a great game screwed up by bugs, that 1.06 was a horrid patch

Game is 2 phases for me,

Turns 1-4 the great land grab.

AGN 5-? drive for Leningrad then head for Moscow with 4th PA asap.

AGC 5-? grid for Moscow pocket what you can, but really mostly grinding down SHC morale in center possible objectives industry.

AGS 5-7 reorganize for one good drive to Don 8-? pocketing and pushing east and AGA. There is allot of industry also to shot for.
