Factories

Post by GaryChildress »

Is there a limit to how many factories a side can build (eg. gun, aircraft or tank). Also what is the criteria for being able to build a factory on a hex? It seems that some hexes I cannot build a factory on maybe because they are too close to another factory? Do factories need to be at least a certain distance from each other. In other words they cannot be adjacent?

In most games and all generic games factories must have 2 spaces between them The rule says one but it is really 2. The only limit is on your PP and available space. You can not build on high mountains but I believe all other terrain is possible.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

There is not a limit except in the number landscapes types where factories are allowed (plains, light and heavy forests) on the map.
The scenario designer details the criteria needed...other than the allowed areas such as plains, light forests, and heavy forests...the
designer can require any combination of Political Points, Engineering Points, Supply Factors and/or Manpower factors.

EDIT The designer can also change how far apart the factories must be from each other from o (zero) to any number he enters. The factories must
than be that number away from any other designated factory.
