Disastrous encirclement south

Post by richter53 »

I was the Russians. Check this disastrous encirclement in the south. Those were corps. The only thing that saved me was that my opponents game locked up.

This is the thing i fear the most. German with their panzer divisions are quite dangerous at encircling.

Can you try send them supplies via air.

Do you think when mud will disappear that you have reserve units able to break the encirclement?

When mud disappears, there won't be any units to rescue after the German turn. Air resupply won't help to any useful extent.

Just hope some units will rout instead of surrendering.

I disagree that air supply cannot do anything. I would personally risk many IL-4 or other planes to send the supply i can, they are not far from the front, fighters can escort. Maybe it can save some units, at least it can improve their CV a little, give them more time.

The real question should be how did I let that happen? I have no answer about the mud. Maybe it was the first turn of mud? Losing those Corps still hurt today. I learned a hard lesson for sure. I wonder if Uncle Joe will ever release me from this Gulag?

I did resupply from air but the encirclement was to strong and the mud/movement conditions didn't help. Some units may have escaped but I believe they were written off. I learned a lesson the hard way. Now if Uncle Joe will forgive me and let me out of this Siberian cage!

Neo-nazi? so what. its about military history anyway. the Nazi war machine represented a classic military. brutal, efficient, and motivated. the only thing that kept the Wehrmacht from winning was Hitler. If people label you a neo-Nazi just by seeing the game then you have the wrong friends.
