Instant dug in posture

So im not sure it works as intended: my troops seem to instantly dig in after they were issued hold order whether stationary or finishing the move. I think the tutorial explicitly stated it takes 30 minutes for this to happen. My units only seem to be in covered posture when moving deliberately in combat or using on call/screen orders.

It says "dug in" but they are not really. What you are thinking of is an "improved position". A better term could be used. Think "hasty defense". What this simulates is vehicles seeking natural hull defilade and troops finding natural cover and concealment.

"Protected" would be frontal armor oriented toward the enemy and folks spread out.
