Air raids at Rekata only moderately effective. No Jap naval or air attacks in the Solomons.

I just get out of surgery a week ago and the f****** HOA sends me a "FINAL NOTICE" for a f****** "very overgrown tree creating a hazard"

Oh, yeah? F*** YOU!

First of all, a tree is not "overgrown" it's mature. It's just doing what God intended.
Secondly, which f****** tree? There must be at least 100 trees. I'm not kidding.
Thirdly, I just had surgery so go f*** yourselves.

Sweet Baby Jesus! I hate these people. They must have fired the nice Gruppenfuerher for being too nice.

In this day and age they couldn't attached a printout of a photograph? What matters to them isn't the condition being corrected, it's proclaiming the order.

I think they are referring to a beautiful old Pepper tree at least 25 years old with a beautiful knarled trunk. Screw 'em. I'm just sawing off the 10 inch branches above the leaves and leaving one branch standing upward like a middle finger.

The idiots literally have no sense of graceful charm, beauty or antiquity. Everything is to be shorn like a f****** poodle.

Not really lost - just disablements which will quickly recover. Likely got a bad weather landing with a die roll for high surf, so a few surfer boys got wet. Their powder is still dry. (gunpowder that is - the other powders are not in vogue yet).

So I start to feel my oats a bit yesterday and decide to go to a music festival thingy. Great sound system, very competent musicians, great vocalists...and I am thinking

"Hory crap! That sounds exactly like the original recording!"

Then I realize, the only problem is the original recording was by Duran, Duran. Who does that? Joins a New Wave band in 2017?

Singer: Mom, dad...I have something to announce! I'm joining a New Wave band and we are going to do Duran, Duran songs!"

Dad: Son, what we want is for you to be happy but have you thought about mime school?

Later, they play "Relax, don't do it" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Complete, 100% sound worm. You almost can't help yourself. It goes straight to the reptilian sound worm center. Stalker Girl sees me twitching and says "You know,
that is a total gay anal sex anthem". I make myself stop twitching. Beers were $7 but the good news is I get drunk on two beers now after laying off two-carbon fragments for a couple of weeks.

HOA = you may own the property Capt, but "WE" decide what you can do on it and with it.

Are there are positives to buying a home with a HOA?!?

Zero chance of that. The HOA attorney is at every meeting. He has a hole in his trousers for the corn cob. I have never seen a more risk averse, sniveling coward. If his 3rd great GF were in the Jefferson administration, Lewis and Clark would still be in Philadelphia.

I think they were not fully prepped as the disablement is quite severe. Of course, our guys aren't exactly the A-team either.

That is one area where this game really nails the uncertainty of a shoestring campaign. A green US RCT without heavy weapons vs 3 Naval Guard units severely beat up in the landing. Jungle terrain....IJN naval superiority...who knows? They might win.

Oz: We spot a group of 31 IJA units at Tamworth...probably in strategic mode because a US Army tank bn cut the rail line 80 miles north....and we just murderize them with the B-17's. It's a war crime....except nobody is going to be prosecuted.

So Kandy House isn't just your in-game hangout - you go there for vacation too? Talk about immersing yourself in the game!
Enjoy the warmth and raise a glass or two to all the WITP-AE players who have gone to the after-game ... I mean after-life (which may be the same thing).
