T1 - North

From old AARs I can tell that Pelton really wants Leningrad and that he likes the right hook maneuver. Therefore, I move my best units north to defend Pskov and the river.

T1 - Center

In the center I am able to break a pocket which is always good. A tank division and HQ remains in Minsk. Tanks from 16th Army block the landbridge and infantry from 16th Army moves to Pskov.

T1 - South

Checkerboard in the south with mostly tank and mechanized divisions. Lvov pocket is unbreakable.

T2 - North

He crosses the river with one tank division and I have no problems pushing him back. The 60% TOE rule makes this more tricky.

T2 - Center

Thanks to the tank division in Minsk I am able to break the pocket again and cut his entire spearhead of. One attack against a motorized division that advanced too far.

The landbridge is going to have level 2 forts next turn. I will leave the landbridge army under Stavka and move Stavka HQ close to the Army HQ. This boosts CV which I noticed playing the ALT CV scenario.

T2 - South

He pushes south of Vinnitsa and I use my tanks and mechanized divisions to block his advance. I also set up my defense of the Dnepr.

T3

To my great embarassement I forgot to take screenshots of T3.

I remember that he captured Pskov in the north and that I keep my troops engaged to limit his supply.

In the center I cut of LVII Core with the routed motorized division and a tank division. This was good because next turn will be mud.

Supply problems due to mud. I set up my defense of the Luga.

Minsk is still in Russian hands. He was able to free his Panzer Corps.

T4 - Kiev

The entire Kiev area almost all the way down to Cherkasy is defended by depleted tank and mechanized divisions.

Because of mud he can't reach Dnepropetrovsk but he locks everything else down. I capture all the swamp hexes on the lower Dnepr back and cut one Panzer division off.

T5 - North

Many Held results this turn. One hex was attacked five times without success. Some heavy bomber losses because there is no fighter coverage. I had just upgraded my fighters the previous turn. Still, the Russian air force is very weak with the new patch.

Very slow progress here. He has moved an additional Panzer Corps north and infantry is advancing north of the land bridge. One successful attack here against a Panzer division.

He is starting to set up his troops to cross the Dnepr. I harass him with more of my tank and mechanized units and cut of a motorized and Panzer division. Two counterattacks.

T6 - North

The right hook has started. I throw my best units in his way including the 8 CV tank divisions from the landbridge. Nothing but top leaders in my armies. Massive bomber losses again.

Because everything goes north now the landbridge is only lightly defended.

The circle marks were he will cross the Dnepr. Panzer Corps are pulled back and are performing HQ buildup. A bizarre result against two cavalry divisions.

T7 - North

Forgot to take screenshot in the north.

Three things are screwing me right away:

1. The 60% TOE rule which make my troops weaker every turn.
2. The extra Panzer Corps from the center to form this Panzer ball
3. The perfect supply of his troops because they are close to the railhead and are supplied by air.

The south is funny. He crosses the Dnepr in force and moves a motorized division all the way to Kharkov to lock the industry. [:D]
