Square counters

Post by JMass »

How much interest could be raised by a square counters mod? Enough to complete it?

It is a very pity that a gem like this is not supported, it needs just some new scenario and some graphical improvement like png support...

Can you show a couple examples of the "from/to" counter examples? From what I see in your post the counters look just about the same as the counters from the game version I recently downloaded; flat and square.

For myself, I've always liked the early TOAW counters with their rounded edges and appearance of depth.

Regards, RhinoBones

PS - Like the different terrains you have used in the samples.

Original counters are rectangular, 31x36 pixels, mine are 36x36. Counters with rounded edges are not supported by CC. In the image below I pasted three square counters on the original rectangular ones.

Very subtle, but now that you've pointed it out it does make a big visual
difference . . . excellent.

If you're taking wish list requests for icon upgrades, would like to see;
1) the existing machine gun icon "up arrow" overlaid on the infantry icon "X" and
2) the artillery dot fixed so that it looks more like a circle instead of an +.

Been out of the loop for a while. Has the icon update shown in post #14 been posted for public download?

Hi RhinoBones, the project is suspended for now, I am working on some Vassal modules.

I don't know what Vassal is, but I'm sure you will do it justice.
When time allows, please come back to the Combat Command Series.
