It's mentioned in here:

The British Embassy would rather you didn't notice their unfortunate tweet.

I saw this Tweet from the British Embassy too. Surprisingly poor judgement.

We should play the gracious hosts. We should invite them to a party on January 5 to commemorate the Battle of New Orleans and the butchering of their men in the mud after their failure to secure Jackson's battlements.

Maybe we can serve Shoo-fly pie with grenadine drizzle for the 'mud and blood' look, akin to their sparklers on the White House cake? C'mon, lighten up-what's a little butchery amongst friends?

I guess we can celebrate Gandhi's birthday to get back at them.

To get even for New Orleans we left them with their system!!! If we were true friends the very least we could have done was leave them a Parliamentary system...imagine Washington then!

I picked up and framed a very nice print of "Frolic" and "Wasp" to commemorate.

Maybe the embassy staff remembers the expulsion of the bust of Sir Winston from the White House.

That's the spirit CB. We're taking away their Gunpowder Plot and replacing it with Haloween. We really should leave them something of their own to celebrate with sparklers and bonfires [:D]

I thought it was a nice piece of humorous irony, and took it in the spirit it was offered. And yes ... they really did light the place up [8D]
