Tracker Tutorial

Post by dr.hal »

Folks, I think Tracker is a great tool however I would like to understand it more fully. Is there an audio visual tutorial that you can direct me to? There are a lot of abbreviations and letter groups, contractions or phrases that I simply don't understand. In short, I need help (which is not something new!). Thanks in advance. Hal

I would like more info as well.

This is the only tutorial I know of:

tm.asp?m=2353946

Tracker and Japanese production really need a college course at MIT.
With a master's degree program option.

I think MIT has jointed the 'on line for free course' movement.

http://ocw.mit.edu/help/get-started-with-ocw/

First one on a flash screen was designing video games.

•Please note: you cannot receive credit, a degree, or a certificate upon completion of OCW materials. OCW does not have registration or enrollment options, and we do not provide interaction or direct contact with MIT faculty, staff, or students.

BUT I don't think they have a specific course on Japanese production in WW II.

Hi there Lokasenna. Well to begin with I would like a list of all abbreviations that are used and what they actually correspond to (meaning wise). Ideally I would also like to have a run through by someone knowledgeable about the Global Economy chart that appears in Tracker (some of the numbers don't seem to add up, but I KNOW that the problem is me, just not sure why!). Finally I would like to have a review on what are the "warning signs" that the system presents if your economy is going off track, where to look for them and to a limited extend what one's options are to correct the problem when such warning signs are given. For example if you are not producing enough of a certain type of engine, I know such a problem can be found in tracker, but it is not clear to me exactly how to look for it. I know that the system, ingenious thou it is, can't provide all the answers, but I think I could be better versed in using its full capabilities.

Maybe I should do some video tutorials... it's something that's lacking in some cases, to be sure.

What do you mean by abbreviations?

Believe me, I'm not criticizing what you have done, far from it as it is great. Some of the acronyms used in the headers are not clear to me (I do know some of them have roll over popups which helps). But maybe it is just me!

no they aren't and i had to spend a lot of time trying to figure them out ... yeah, a list would be nice for people to come up speed with ... and for me when i go to a page i don't normally and have to puzzle them out again. [X(]

Well, I didn't make it, I just have a nice familiarity with it :P.

I'll have to look up desktop recording software.
