Could you please provide more details? Is it during the game installation or when attempting to run the game? Do you receive any error message?

It appears to be a dimensions problem. The opening box appears to allow you to start the game but when you click to start the screen changes and the game fails. What ever size the game is set to run in is either not supported or is not auto changing to it and I don't know how to make that happen/

Could you please attach a DxDiag report file?

How to get a Directx Dialog file:

1. click on "START" (on Windows 8 Press "Windows Key" + "R" and go to 3)
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

All my matrix games open on a block that lets me pick the game to start or the manual or link to certain sites. When I select to start the game it locks up but the resolution is wrong, can only see a bit of the next page.

Just wanted to share my experience upon trying to get this installed on Windows 8.1 after buying it today:

The installer would freeze at the very end ,on file (eia001.tpj) or something like that. I tried running the installer in various compatibility modes without success. I was just about to come here and post a thread asking for help when I decided to try installing the game with windows running in "Safe Mode" and it worked fine. Reset the pc and started the game; while I do get a black screen in place of the intro video like Twotribes the game loads past that and works fine.

Just wanted to share my experience if anyone else has trouble getting the game to install in windows 8.1.
