Update Keeps Failing Win 8.1

Keep getting failure messages when trying to install update. One message referenced
an FTP file problem. Another simply said contact Matrix games. Using windows 8.1
on a Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Otherwise the game runs fine with the exception of
having to adjust screen resolution upon starting. Thoughts? Thank you.
