Slow processing

Playing latest version & campaign 43 as Axis, after 10 moves or so, the time for AI to do Soviet turn is 2 hours and 10 minutes. Much too long for me to continue the game.

Using an Acer laptop that's about 4 or 5 years old (don't know any more about its technology.) I note that C41 & C42 do not yet show such performance as turns go forward. Also, using a newer laptop I do get better performance. But the slowdown in '43 is remarkable.

Any clues?
