I am about to take on yet another modification task, in this case for WW1 scenarios.
Apart from almighty Bob Cross (where are you?!) is there somebody out there who could
create/modify the counter sets to reflect the actual (more or less) colours of the uniforms of the Central Powers/Entente?

I am not that skilled with more advanced graphics programs, hence my request. Uniform pics/colours are here:

Help appreciated!

Picking colors out of the uniforms is a little difficult. But if nobody with more experience than me offers, I might be able to tinker with them.

Did you read my document in the manuals sub-folder on how to do this? It's: "Recoloring the Unit Counters.pdf"

Aye, Bob! I read the document but I ain't a GIMP expert. Will fiddle around with it though. Alas, maybe Kamerad Sill already done the rest already... If so, he's in for a few beers at "Otto's" during my next visit to the US next year :)

Thanks for the replay anyway mate!

Well, they do take some time, but I can probably get them done this week sometime. I only do the 2D Large Bmp's, so if you are interested in multiple views and png's, maybe I should bow out.

Ok, try these and see if they are good enough.

You'll need these buttons and numbers also.

The new schemes in the color palette are:
British = Column 2
German = Column 3
Aus-Hun = Column 6
French = Column 12
Russia = Column 14

You are very welcome my friend. The Gimp works well, but I'm used to using Paint, and its actually dangerously easy to change the units colors. Hit 'R' (for recolor), 'Ctrl' and left click to pick any new color you like, 'Ctrl' and right click to pick the color being changed, set your brush width and tolerance level, and paint away!

You also need to mess with the Numbers file and its a little difficult to work with, but not impossible. And I suggest changing the StandardButtons file to coincide with any changes, but its not necessary.

This file might come in handy for anybody wanting to mess around with unit colors. The 1st column is what I see in the editor (color, column, row) and the 2nd column is what they are named in the TOAW Graphics folder. Copy all those color files to a separate folder and you'll always have one stop shopping when working with them.
