BoB Memorial flight visited Holland, making flypasts along several monuments

Flypast Lancaster

In addition, I found a link to a database, containing information on 6000 aircraft that crashed within the Netherlands between September '39 and VE day in 1945.

SGLO Crash Database

Does anybody know of such a database for other countries in Europe?

Interesting footage. Propellers are rotating very, very slowly. It's hard to imagine how they're even spinning fast enough to keep the plane airborne.

It's the stroboscopic effect. Basically, the motion is too quick to be recorded on camera properly, so it can sometimes look as if the propellers are stationary, slow, or even going in the opposite direction to what they should be going.

I can assure you they go plenty fast enough in real life

Dixie,

Are you, aka BBMF, coming down to the D-Day Air Show at Duxford 24-25 May?

I'll check the flying programme in the next couple of days and give you a definite answer, but I'm almst vertain that we're doing a display/flypast.
