It's an awesome museum!!!!  A must see for the avaition enthusiast.  They really amped up their game and made some really big changes when the 100yr anniversary of flight was celebrated.
I'd rather be lucky than good.

We try to get there about every other year. Since my kid's in USAF, we even toured the base a bit last time.

The Naval Air Museum in Pensacola FL is also very good. Not quite the full numbers of aircraft that USAF has, but its café wins hands down.

Was there way back in 1998 when doing some work in Ohio. Made it a day trip. Just seeing the size of the B-36, indoors, was pretty impressive. All the other planes in that hanger looked pretty small in comparison.

It would be nice to see the updated configuration of the museum now.

Was in Palm Springs for a conference a while back and I regretted not having time to get over to the air museum there, even if they weren't flying at the time (it was August).

I have tried to upload the full zip but could not get it to work. If anyone has an idea to upload let me know. File to large. 800+ mb per picture, and there are 50 of them. Is there a way to scale them down?

I just open the picture, do a print screen, open paint and paste, crop, save as jpeg, and post it.

Thanks Zuluhour. I'll post a couple in an hour or so. How about uploading a 48mb zip file. How would I do that. I suppose I can look it up but if you or someone else knows how that would cut down on time use, which is very short at times.

These are some pics from Pensacola that may be of interest (taken in 2010)

(Well, I tried, and the pic is under 500k, but it won't appear ... drat!)

Let's see if this link to my Dropbox folder works instead ...

Pensacola

... seems to ... but, of course, doesn't *display* the piccies *here*. Anyone who can figure out how to post them and get it to work, and who cares to do so, feel free to do that with them!

(Checked, and the link *seems* OK) ... enjoy.
