.......NEW YORK TIMES.......

America preparing for war, but against whom is the question that is being debated in Washington at this time. Some within the Government are arguing for neutrality and let Europe fight their own war. While voices are being heard for action against Japan due to her aggressive actions against China....

Somewhere in the halls of the Kremlin:

- Komrad Chairman, there has been news: The French and the British have entered an alliance.

- Komrad Foreign Minister, this is to be expected, this is of no concern for us.

- Also, Komrad Chairman, the French seem to have orchestrated a coup in Holland, and it succeeded...

- Not of our concern, that part of Europe is not within our area of influence.

- I see, but Komrad Chairman, the Americans seem to have influenced Finland, and are now its best friend.

The Komrad Chairman began to have a worried look on his face.

- We cannot have that, begin a campaign of lies and deception, brand these americans as not the true friends of the Finnish peeople. Surely they must know that the one true friend Finland has is the Soviet Union. If not they must be made to see it that way.

- Yes, Komrad Chairman, yours is the will of the people. Also I must report that there has been a coup attempt in Rumania...

- What?!

- Yes, Komrad Chairman, the Rumanian Peoples Party, seemed to have gotten the idea that we would want a coup there, and a friendly goverment to our, there.

- We, the people, did order no such thing!

- I know Komrad Chairman, I am just letting you know...

Germany is relieved that earnest negotiations can continue between the Soviet Union and Germany now that the Soviet attempted coup has failed.

Germany launched a bunker buster campaign against the Maginot Line. German forward observers noted puffs of smoke coming from the gun positions. Though it could have been Frenchmen brewing their morning Coffee. Still to late to call of the Luftwaffe.

Japanese report the capture of Hangchow to add to the capture of Tsingtau. IJA meeting only light resistance harder battles foreseen down the road.

Italy despondent the Germans beat them to a DOW on France again.

What happened in Europe today?

- Pro-French forces tried a coup in Poland, and failed.
- Pro-British forces tried a coup in Belgium and failed.
- Luxembourg was liberated by the French

Nothing else to report, according to the Soviet Papers.

Washington has decided to stay Neutral for now and let Europe play by themselves, our nation was founded cause we left that place, why would we want to go back. As for the Pacific, the President has decided that China is in need of a ally and soon, we will be sending lend lease their way as soon as we can. China will not fall on our watch, President Roosevelt is heard to have said. Have the new turn, will play tonight when I get home from work

Washington is now telling Europe to stay out of South and central America, this is our backyard and we will keep any and all europeans out

Unless the US took the option for Japan Europe is their concern. Japan better start worrying.

Soviet Diplomats have been surprised by the bluntness and publicity of the American diplomacy...

Maybe this is a ruse of some sort?

America is gearing up for war but will not enter into anything too early. Now if the Euro's come barking in my neck of the woods, Uncle Sam will then take care of issues which come

Germany Offensive stalled to fail at this rate Germany will be lucky to get a window box let alone a backyard. Italy some success only in a attrition kind of way. Japan Good progress supply problem alleviated.

The Great Union of Socialist Soviet Republics announces today that it has achieved an enormous increase in production efficiency. The new five year plans being implemented by the Great Stalin himself will carry the Soviet Union into the next decade.

Soviet diplomats while celebrations of this joyous event takes place whisper into Stalins ear that once again the United States must have increased its standing with Finland... Stalin is mildly curious as to why the Americans are so interested in the Finns.
