Commonwealth pilots

Post by Stvitus2002 »

Is there supposed to be a replacement pool of Commonwealth pilots?
I have a FAA squadron No1844 that is listed as Commonwealth nationality.
Since there is no pool for this nationality, how can i fill this squadron out?
Have plenty of AUS,NZ, & BRIT pilots, but cannot draw them.

I think there's a very late war pool for CW like in 44-45. Before the patch (forget which one offhand) changed the way you could draw pilots early from pools it wasn't a problem. I still think they need to change the nationality of FAA units to a naval rank similar to USN instead of have the diff CW/Brit/etc nationalities. They could use one of the 2 (IIRC) unused country slots

Checked the editor, starting 45' CW gets replacement rate of 20.
Surprised to see the French also get a replacement rate of 10 in 45'.
Thnx

A couple of French warships arrive late war that have floatplanes. The pilot pool are for those.

Unless something changed the French are for a couple of french spitfire units that come in late war in England not floatplane units.

I guess I stand corrected, though I thought I recalled the Richelieu showing up with float planes.

Richelieu

I noticed too late that she shows up without. Kicking myself for
disbanding excess British CL FP groups.

As of 8/45 when my game ended I was getting no commonwealth pilots that I can recall. Only one or two squadrons were affected though. Most game will be over before the French spits arrive.
