I have an ongoing game vs the AI using the latest edition of BabesLite-A - wondering about the AI files Andy posted as part of the data updates here: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3198064

Hoping someone can answer a few questions about using these files

1) BabesLite ships with stock AI files apparently dating from 2009. Is it possible to substitute these files for the ones that come with corresponding BabesLite scenario?

2) Do the updated AI files have content that might improve the play experience?

3) Is it possible to update the AI files in an ongoing game?

4) I started this game as a "Quiet China" scenario, but there are no Quiet China updated files. Will things go haywire if I plug a "Noisy China" AI file into this game, or will it be ok (other than presumably heating up in China).

5) If the answer to all this is YES, which files do I need to replace?

My understanding is that babes lite can use any ai script designed for stock Japanese ai

You cannot update at scripts in mid game its not how they work sorry

Re quiet china there are no updated quiet china ai files because I always forget to do them

V the ai I always view quiet ai as a nonsense anyway as the ai for either side is not decisive in china so I would never ever play quiet china

A. Because I always forget/ignore those scens so they never get updated ie they do t have the device or loc or ship fixes and are pretty much unchanged from launch

B. fundamentally the whole pacific war was about china so it seems wrong to play quiet china just play the normal scen and ignore china if you cannot be bothered with it

Thanks for the replies Andy. Too bad no mod-play updates.


The AI files distributed with the BabesLite scenario (37) have modification dates of 11/30/2009. Assuming that date is accurate, do you think the more recent AI files have significant improvements from those versions?
