Spooky timing in relation to the post above. The Block 1 Aster 30 NT is already in the database but it's unusable since the Sylver A50 mount is not compatible with it. I've been trying to equip Type 45 destroyers with it but it seems that there isn't a compatible mount so the missile is unusable at the moment. Can we add some Sylver mounts to the weapon please?

Thanks!

S-400 batteries with 40N6 both Russian and Chinese are dated from 2017 and 2018 respectively and the missile itself from 2013, this appears too optimistic based on reports the testing has only just been completed.
Could I suggest an in service date of late 2019 appears more realistic?
This ties in with apparent issues with the production facilities.

Sensor DB ID 966: Long Track [P-40] mobile radar is a 3-D capable device but defined as only 2-D in v474 of DB3000. This sensor should be capable of returning altitude data which it currently does not. The description also says 2-D. Pictures show multiple feed-horns associated with 3-D operation.

Aircraft >> Russia #2510 An-22 Cock has in its description:

The GBU-44 originated out of the canceled 1990s BAT projectile, which was to have been an anti-tank guided cluster weapon. The BAT technology (and some actual prototype airframes) were converted into the Viper Strike missile, which is extremely useful in urban areas where collateral damage must be limited. Initially deployed by US Army MQ-5 Hunter UAV’s in 2003, it was also adopted by the USAF in late 2006 on AC-130 Spectre gunships and MQ-1 Predator UAVs.

The rest of it looks correct, just the description is off.

Is there a way to copy text when looking at the db viewer? I copied that from cmano-db.com.

I found this photograph on the USMC's website of an F-35B test flight. It looks like an external load of 4 GBU-12s. I figured you guys might want to add it to the "beast mode" configurations which would give the F-35B a whopping 8 GBU-12s. Man... the firepower is overwhelming...

Can we get some boat capacity added to USN LPH's? Acknowledge that they don't have a well deck but there are certainly enough photos of lifeboats hanging from davits. (the DB photo for #677 for instance)

I'm looking for a few RHIBs, ROVs and PEP-104s, particularly for LPH 10 Tripoli in her MCM support work.

I don't have data for the request but believe it is reasonable to assume she carried support RHIBs and spare ROVs for the MCM vessels.

Thanks

As far as I know, South Korea A330 MRTT has a flying boom system. But CMANO's South korea MRTT has wing drogue refueling system. Because of this, All South Korea aircraft cannot be refuelled by MRTT.

I hope it gets fixed soon.

The F-35 only carries 2x bombs internally (except for SDBs that fit 8 internally on BRU-61s).

Lockheed recently published a bunch of papers through the AIAA on the F-35's development and they've handily included the following chart that lists the loadouts certified for Block 3F (also 2B previously):

Please Add KRI 521. Teluk Lada. IOC 2018-19

http://www.janes.com/article/81460/indonesian-navy-launches-tank-landing-ship
Good Datas

quote:

Indonesian shipbuilder PT Daya Radar Utama (DRU) launched a 117 m-long tank landing ship (LST) for the Indonesian Navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Laut: TNI-AL) on 28 June at the company’s facilities in Bandar Lampung on the island of Sumatra.

Named KRI Teluk Lada (with pennant number 521), the LST entered the water in a ceremony presided over by Indonesian Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu, according to a statement issued by the TNI-AL that same day.

The platform, which is powered by two 3,285 kW engines, has a top speed of 16 kt, with a range of about 6,240 n miles at 13 kt.

The 16.4 m-wide vessel can carry up to 15 BMP-3F infantry fighting vehicles and a 10-tonne helicopter on its flight deck, as Jane’s reported in November 2016. The BMP-3Fs are currently operated by the Indonesian Marine Corps.

The LST can be equipped with up to two 40 mm gun systems on the foredeck, and 12.7 mm machine guns at various locations throughout the vessel.

The shipyard had previously built a similar but slightly longer ship, KRI Teluk Bintuni , which is now in service with the TNI-AL as a carrier for the army’s Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks (MBTs).Indonesian shipbuilder PT Daya Radar Utama launched the 117 m-long LST KRI Teluk Lada on 28 June at the company’s facilities in Lampung. Some corrections:

- HQ-9B is there and has IR active homing, HQ-9C is still a rumor
- WS-64 is built for slant-launch, no sign of VLS capability
- The best I can think of ESSM hypothetical for China is quad-packed HQ-17 (Tor-copy, it's in database). The 850mm UVLS support shorter missiles too.
- Just clarify the larger hangars are for Z-20, not Z-18 because it's too big.

About the HQ-9B:
Recent US sources suggest that the HQ-9B deployed on those artificial island bases have around 200km range. Seems to be an improved variant. And from official posters of Zhuhai Airshow we also know that the seeker is actually active radar.

About the Type 055's hangar and the Z-18 size: The Z-18 actually isnt too big when folded. There have been some discussions going on at various chiense defense forums and it is actually agreed upon that size wise; the Ka-31/Ka-28 is the one requiring the largest hangar due to its non-foldable tail and height. If the hangar can take a Ka-31 (as the Type 052C already can), then housing a Z-18 wouldnt be a problem at all. Of course, weight is another question here.

A bunch of SDF members are exchanging insults over this graph:

The reverse-search on Google only have one article to be found, and it's just a week ago. The leaked document image shows the alleged Chinese-developed glider rounds can reach above 100km, with over 25km of max altitude, while it will start gliding at 15km altitude. Such trajectory is very identical to the Italian VULCANO.

This is VULCANO 127mm by comparison. The Chinese one have some substantially bigger wings and canards, but lacks of fletching, and presumed to be attached with rocket booster instead.

http://news.ifeng.com/a/20180714/59173189_0.shtml (Simplified Chinese)

quote:

Translation:

"China has developed the 130mm glider ammunition with 100km range. It has canards for steering, glider wings and rocket stage to achieve extra range, they will be deployed once it reached to the highest altitude. If wings aren't deployed, it can only reach 70km compare to 100km. It also has multiple methods of guidance, such as laser guiding, or GPS/INS guidance at terminal stage. Multiple variant of warheads can also be installed, including HE-Frag, HEDP, DPICM, Thermobaric and more."

The response is mainly skeptical, but at the same time reasonable because China is building large amount of 052D and 055 destroyer, PLAN also has severe shortcoming of land-attack roles especially the lacks of information to VLS cruise missiles. The new addition of Sino-VULCANO can be an expensive but practical interm for some amphibious military operations.

My guesstimate of this round would be only HE variant only, specially for long range artillery strike instead of anti-ship or anti-air. The GPS(Beidou)/INS guidance is more likely applied than laser guidance since Chinese doesn't have Spec-Ops insertion or aerial deep strike capabilities to deploy forward-operated laser designation yet. The rest of vague information are too ambitious for my taste. The new round will also be ready alongside with 055's commission, which is probably at 2020 or even earlier.

J-10B with KD-88 ImIR/TV-guided AGM, first time confirmed!

Oh, actually there is some discussion about this missile. It's quite a bit too small for a KD-88 and lacks the air-intake (which is always present, even on mockups/training rounds). The KD-88 is some 6 meter missile, while the PL-12 is 4 meters. But in the photo both look same length.

This could be a new solid rocket powered AGM. Maybe based on thew YJ-9 body, which could really be the sino-Brimstone that we watchers demanded for years. Very mysterious indeed.

In any case, this is definitely an air-to-ground weapon that is optically guided (ImIR, based on the white seeker head - as usual for Chinese AGMs with similiar seekers).

[UPDATED DB v440]

About "Poliment-Redoute" [3K96] system (in database Poliment-K AESA radar + SA-N-21c Growler VLS ) and 9m96 missiles "family"

Here is "Almaz-Antey" annual reports:

http://www.almaz-antey.ru/_files/13/1817/ 2013 annual report Page 96

Version of system

So, according to "Almaz-Antey" annual report 2013
citation:
"On the head of the project 22350 frigate delivered prototype
3K96-2 products."

also Amur shipyard (they currently build 2 project20380) procurement of 3K96-3:
http://zakupki.gov.ru/223/purchase/public/purchase/info/common-info.html?purchaseId=668930&&purchaseMethodType=ep

From GSKB Raspletin report in 2012:
"Product development 3K96-2 (Poliment-Redoute)

- Manufactured prototypes of devices 3P96-2 products for preliminary bench tests; (3P96-2 = Poliment-K AESA in database)
- Preliminary testing devices 3P96-2 products;
- Prepared and conducted preliminary bench testing products and 3P96-2 3SCH96-2;
- Fabricated experimental units and prototypes of devices and products 3SCH97.2-2 3SCH97.2-2 products in general, conducted the IT;
- design documentation products designed 3I97 for Project 22350;
- Manufactured and delivered the prototype product 3I97;
- Initiated joint testing of the product with the product 3K96-3 9M96 under preliminary testing of the complex."

In the first issue for 2013 of the corporate newspaper "Strela", published by the "Head System Design Bureau Concern PVO" Almaz - Antey "Academician AA Raspletin" (GSKB):
http://www.raspletin.ru/press-centre/2013/01-13.pdf
"On the theme 3K96 in 2012 made a significant amount of work which allows to speak with confidence about the completion of the 2013 trial izd. 3K96-3 on ships 20380 and delivery samples of the products of the Navy, as well as to conduct preliminary bench test sample shipments izd. 3K96-2 on the lead ship of Project 22350, its installation and testing."

Results of work Centre MNIIRE "Altair" (information from a deleted from the site "Almaz-Antey" "annual report GSKB Concern PVO" Almaz-Antey "in 2011. Part 2"):
"Among the works included in GWP-2015, in 2011 the works on R & D 3K96 ["Poliment-Redoute"] within which is being developed modular construction of naval air defense system 3rd generation. Created under R & D 3K96 system 3K96-2 and 3K96-3 are designed for installation on ships under construction perspective projects 22350 and 20380."

So there is two variants of system: 3K96-2 "Redoute with Poliment" for 22350 and 3K96-3 "Redoute without Poliment" for 20380

Missiles

from àrticle "Ship complex air defense 3K96 "Redoute":

"During the briefing, which took place in the framework of the MAKS-2013, CEO of Concern PVO "Almaz-Antey" noted that the test of a new air defense system were interrupted in 2012 because of a fire on SKR "Soobrazitelny" (20380). This year, the ship arrived after repairs to resume trial SAM. He also said that on the head of the project 22350 frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" test "Redoute" will begin no earlier than 2014, upon the readiness of the ship. In this set of missiles 9M96, 9M96D 9M100 and ready for testing."
http://vpk.name/news/98961_korabelnyii_kompleks_pvo_3k96_redut.html

from "Almaz-Antey" annual report 2010 :
"ongoing testing component
parts ZRAS "Poliment-Redoute" ground testing products 9M96
conducted manufacturing of products 9M96D and 9M100;"

from "Almaz-Antey" annual report 2011 :
"As part of the izd. 3K96 delivered prototype SAM "Redoubt"
on the first serial "corvette" 20380, initiated joint
Flight tests of ship management and izd 9M96,
completed preliminary tests of the main constituents
ZRAS "poliment-Redoute", its elements are placed on the head
"Frigate" project 22350.
A pilot batch izd 9M96D, initiated autonomous
flight tests in a ground polygon, constructed and

So for 3K96 there is three missiles:

1)9M96/9M96E
exists in datatabase with wrong range of 30nm
should have 40 km (22nm)

and befor we move to next missiles, 9M96E and 9M96E2 have unified ARH head and we know the diameters of missiles 240mm so ARS cant be bigger
than about 200mm there is only two ARS can fit this criteria
all soviet/russian ARS for anti-air missiles made in NII "Agat" so it can be 9B1103M (Lock-on range, (target RCS - 5 m2), km 20) or 9B1103M-200 (Lock-on range, (target RCS - 5 m2), km 25)
citation from ""AGAT" teaches to fly missiles":
"One of the latest achievements of the institute is to create a family seeker 9B-1103M for missiles caliber from 150 to 400 mm, the characteristics of which are not inferior to the most advanced foreign counterparts. These ARS standardized for use in anti-aircraft and in aircraft missiles."
most likely it is 9B1103M-200, 9B1103M created in 1993 for R-27 and 9B1103M-200 created in 2001
http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-Legacy-SAM-Upgrades.html Agat Active Radar Seekers for SAM Upgrades
of course it can be some supersecret ARS about which no one heard nothing but it is really doubtful since 9M96E and 9M96E2 aproved for export

3)9M100
short range missile (10-12 km) fast (some sources claim 900m/s max speed) IR head
little information about this missile,as there was no permission to export and no promotional information

VLS

Here is patent for VLS by "KBSM"
http://www.findpatent.ru/img_show/901/9019355.html
http://www.findpatent.ru/img_show/9019356.html
http://www.findpatent.ru/patent/237/2374591.html

as you can see in 1 cell can fit 1 big missile (9M96/9M96E,9M96D/9M96E2) or 4 small missiles (9M100)

And last thing is Vityaz (#2089 - SAM Bn (SA-25 [S-350 Vityaz]) -- Russia [1992-] (Air Force), 2017, 8x TEL in database)
here is photo from MAKS-2013
http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/bmpd/38024980/741376/741376_original.jpg
citation:
"composition
battle management post 50K6E
Multifunction radars 50N6E (up to 2)
launcher 50P6E (up to 8) with 12 SAM medium range 9M96E2"

so missile for Vityaz is 9M96E2
there is no "Poliment-K AESA" but 3P96-2
there is no SA-N-21c Growler VLS
Redoute VLS can use 9M96/9M96E,9M96D/9M96E2 or 9M100(4 in 1 cell)
Also 9M96/9M96E range is 40km(22nm) not 30nm

Could you please make the necessary changes to the database?

About Japanese Self Defence force stuff
JASDF's UH-60J have some advanced variant, from 2005. It called UH-60J(SP), SP stands for self protection so They got more chance to survive for CSAR mission. It add J/APR-7(Radar Warning Receiver) and AN/AAR-60(V)(Missile Approach Warning System),and chaff/Flare system. Also FLIR Talon system.

And From 2009 they got Probe-and-drogue type AAR system. So for AAR mission They got KC-130H which remodeling from JASDF's C-130H.

Also SH-60K should have AN/AAR-60(V) (MAWS) but at a database there are none so can you add?
