Hi all

Will the ipad version saves be compatible with the pc saves, in other words will be able to play a game indistinctly in an ipad and pc. This would be very handy as I like playing the pc game but would like to continue playing with the ipad if not at home.

Regards.

There are no plans to directly support sharing save files between platforms. However the file formats are the same at this stage, so some sort of manual file exchange might be possible.

Speaking of this, it seems like it might be a good time to implement a multiplayer file system similar to what Slitherine uses in other games, such as Fields of Glory. I.e., once a user ends a turn it sends it to a server and the other player is notified that it is their turn.

That might also work with iPad/PC multiplatform games.

macob30,

There are some issues related to size (in bytes, not pixels) of images and available memory on the iPad 1. If it can be made to work on the original model then it will be, but there is a reasonable chance that only newer models will be supported. No definitive answer as yet.

Hmm, any chance of making a game that works on Kindle tablets?

ok, ipad1 is really old. you are missing a lot if you dont upgrade.
Second, yeah, server, or/and dropbox/icloud etc. integration (which is through iOS APIs already integrated) would help towards nurturing bigger game community and more MP.
Kronos: Battle worlds is multiplatform turn based, and it works great.
There is Talisman, also (steam and ipad and android).

Please make it so, that would be really awsome.
PS I suggest you also make a bundle with PC and ipad game with discount (you can do it through discount codes in apple store or through Lite version with in app upgrade for owners of PC version).

and please, update the PC version if possible. The mod one of players made looks outstanding!(I hope the elements of mod make it to the ipad game too).

PS Spare not on effects for units, and lands...it sells games....
