From what I can tell from the rules and from other forums if the allied aircraft have an upgrade path then its production is supposed to get upgraded when the new model comes out. It is 2/43 and the B25C has been upgraded to B25D1. The old B25C had 20 production but it has not been updated in then B25D1 which is only showing a replacement rate of 10. Does the aircraft production in fact get switched or not. Same as with the B24D and the B24D1 with 15 production and 33 replacement respectively but am only showing the 33 replacements. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

The factory still listed as B-25C, right?
At some point the rules was changed so there was a introduced a delay of up too 30 days IIRC. So it doesnt necesarrily upgrade on the first day possible, but it should randomly from game to game upgrade on any given day within a month of the listed date. It still produces B-25Cs until the upgrade happens.

ok, was wondering about that. the factories are still producing. I just didn't want to loose aircraft production. Still in a phase of the war that I need every aircraft possible.

That would be the period between Dec 1941 and August 1945 right?

As the allies, 1 months delay for factory changeover is what i have been seeing.
What i find interesting is that Japan has no delay if the plane is in the upgrade path.
When you think about it,changing from b-25c to D1 should not really require a
factory retooling, all that was changed was adding a forward firing group of MG's
and maybe an engine upgrade. Yet Japan can convert from G4M1 to G4M2 instantly.
Basically,as the allies, you are losing a months production.

Are you sure? I have never seen this.

No, you do not lose any production. For example, the factory will still produce the B25C until the day that the D1 comes on line.

You can also turn off upgrades for any particular line. I choose to keep the D1 version in production rather than upgrading to the J version because it has better range. You end up with about 30 D1s and 30 J types produced every month and that is not a bad mix.
