Welcome to the madhouse, and remember the manual is 'somewhat' out of date

Yeah, the readme file is your friend.

Welcome to your new life. Time will have no meaning. 0400 and you will tell your wife "Just one more turn...."

This is one of the truly great computer games of all time.....if not the greatest. Have fun.

Manual? Manual? Who reads the stinkin' manual?*

*Uttered by one committed and ignorant AE player who doesn't even read the "Release" notes with patches, prefering to instead proceed in blissful ignorance on the assumption that "Hey, this game is intuitive!"

If it's the same individual I'm thinking of, we're SUPPOSED to pretend that he didn't read the manual, dood.

Hear that ships bell ?

Don't ask for whom it tolls, for it tolls for thee.

Your life and any thing resembling free time went out of the window when that box arrived.

Blame it on the staff, count on Milo, rely on the Lord Admiral for debacle prevention.

Including your significant other!

I vaguely remember having a wife. Sometimes, I see and hear another person walking around the house and I think it's her. Once in awhile, I find a "Honey Do" list taped to my computer monitor and I know it's from her.

Thanks everyone

I played WITP for awhile, so do understand the depth of the game :)
And currently I have more time then money anyways, so a game to fill some of that time is a good thing.

So until I get the money to visit the far flung islands of the pacific,
and contemplate the logistical strategy of luggage and 2:00AM after hours alcohol.

I will be playing this game (when the laptop arrives)

That is a bit funny, buying the game, then buying a computer to be able to play the game.
[:D]

Although most of wait is the laptop takes a few days to build.

When I played WITP it was on slower system and there was some lag in scrolling, and when paging in an out to WITP Tracker, so wanted a new laptop. My old system ran at minimum specs, this lap top has 16 gig memory, I7 2.4ghz CPU, and a video card that can play high end 3d games at full feature.

So it will make the paging between Notes, Tracker, Planning maps, and production charts much faster [:)]

I am thinking I might even be able to run it dual monitor with a desktop monitor I have, for all the charts on a second page, although will have to look at Nvidia Drivers, I presume they have some dual monitor capabilities. GTX765M is rated as a pretty good card for laptops.

Welcome.

Excuse me while I check for that late turn.
Todd

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Oh the manual-- keep reading the forums and the War Room. There's so many important idiosyncracies to this amazing game that only the forums reveal
