I‘m very happy with my opponent. He’s a really nice guy and he’s very fast in sending his turn, in fact much faster than me. But today… puff… he’s vanished. I’m sure he will reappear soon send but right now my problem is that I’ve been left without my night turn. So the question is how could I spend the countless hours waiting for his reappearance? Have you guys experienced this kind of ugly days? How killing the time?

I know how you feel ... playing a guy right now and we were flying with the turns especially during the weekdays. Always felt I was the hold-up there but I haven't heard anything since last Friday. I will wait though since I am really enjoying the game.

You all must be playing as the Allies or early war Japanese to care so much about the turns. As Japan in 11/44 not so much

Same situation here.....Game of thrones helps pass a bit of time..Frustrating as I have not heard anything....

I do not think (hope) he has bolted the game (that would be massively disappointing)...I find guys who spend
2 paragraphs (when setting up the game) talking about how they demand the allied player play to the very end
ALWAYS quit once Japan gets a bloody nose. Has happened to me twice in the past....Guys spending way too much time
talking about fighting to the end....Do not...

I could give up this game any time I want. I just choose not to.

My ex once asked, "Would you give up wargaming if I asked you to?"
Me: "Yes, but don't ask."

Multi PBEMs to stay busy.

1 2x2 WPO
1 WITP
1 AE (small scenarios = lots of turns)

I would disagree.

After watching Season 1 and 2, i had to read the books because the time till Season III was far too long (at that time). And now i have to wait, god knows how many years, for book 6!

Feels even worse then the waiting for Season III

Winds of Winter should be out by early 2014... but we learnt the hard way not to trust uncle George.

However SEASON III is awesome...just watched the 9° episode...RAINS OF CASTAMERE

Of course, you could take your wife (girlfriend) to a movie. Just a thought. Or make use of this down time to acquire one...

Don't listen to him, wimmen folk use up your time and money faster than a land war in Burma during the monsoon burns through supplies! I've had to resort to playing in the middle of the night, running turns by candle light so as to not wake the beast!

SAVE YOURSELF!!!
