Hi to all
Firstly just wanted to say what a great game this is, have been playing it for just under 6 months and im totally hooked been a East Front fan for more years than i can remember.
I started playing strategy games when commadore 64 was king so i like to think im a pretty compatent player but since playing WITE thats changed. I have played 3 campaign games as Axis so far game 1 ended early as ARMY GROUP NORTH was completely trapped in The Baltics ( not my best start against the AI ). Game 2 was heading the same way but was saved by a new patch so i started game 3 my best so far. My front line is just over 100 miles from Moscow, leningrad is isolated and i have 4 million men at arms on the Eastern Front ( German Troops ) plus axis allies and its Nov 1944 so im happy with that.

What would also liked to say is how impressed with how you guys are able to cause 4 to 4.5 million losses to the Soviets and thats against a Human player, ive struggled to get 2 million and thats against the Ai i guess practice makes perfect.

Id also like to say this is one the best forums that ive seen i have been trying to keep up the latest topics and read up on the aars, the commitment from the members and development team to this game is inspiring hats off to you all.

I have a question or two id like to ask and hope some one could answer them for me
1 Walther Von Brauchitsch was Supreme commander OKH and yet Franz Halder is listed as OKH leader if im not mistaken Halder was just Chief of General staff OKH in fact i cant see Von Brauchitsch name in the leader list at all.

2. SS Generals
i have 4 SS Korps on the battlefield 2 commanded by Major Gen 2 by Generals there are at least another 4 SS Generals in the leader list but when time i try to replace the Korps commanders with the 4 SS replacements none appear to be eligable now i have read the manual on this matter all seems right but still i get no chance to change them over the dismissal screen is blank am i missing something here.
cheers
Regards TM1

1. Only until Dec 10th, but you are correct. Do not know why.
2. Do you have enough points to replace them? It usually costs some points for sacking the current general, and then more points again to put in a new leader. I have had times where I wondered where Manstein had gone until I realized I was short on points. If you do not have the necessary points, they do not show up on the list of eglible replacements.

Welcome btw

Terje

The leader position in the OKH is that of the chief of staff not the Commander in Chief (what von Brauchitsch's position was). The same is true of the STAVKA. These positions are intended for the best administrative personnel of each side although any leader coded to command at this level can occupy the position.
