Anyone else having trouble air-dropping supplies in 1.07.08?

On the turn following my upgrade from 1.07.07 to 1.07.08 the Soviets are unable to perform any air supply missions. The turn date is 2/19/42 and the weather is Blizzard.

I want to air supply a nearby unit, and the display indicates aircraft are in range. But when I attempt to air supply 290th Rifle Division using 41 BAD (shift- right click) or semi-automatic (right click) either nothing happens or the message “No air transport aircraft available” appears. The mission was not attempted and aborted, and the % flown is still 0.

The "% Required to Fly" setting does have an effect. If it is set to a low percentage then more air bases are shown to be in range. But no matter what the setting no air supply missions can be flown.

How many MP from rail is the AB? There are RR repair units visible on map, so it could be that it's beyond the 5 MP max range for air supply.

See the 41 BAD display above. It is sitting on an active railway, and "Off Rail MP" and "Off Rail Range" are both zero.

Air Transport mode has a nice feature - Air Bases highlighted in yellow meet the rail criteria. This still appears to be working.

Yes, I have been flying Air Supply missions every turn and I haven't changed any Day/Night settings.

Check your "% Required to Fly" setting. Transport units often have low "% Ready" and may not be meeting this criteria.

Air Transport mode also checks "% Required to Fly". If the setting is too high for all the aircraft in an Air Base it is not highlighted in yellow.

@2x3 - If you are able to look at this it is my Multi-player game vs. TDV20. It saved mid-turn. Let me know if I can finish the turn and send to my opponent.

Yes, thanks! It seems that the 'Percent to fly' calculates % of the max allowed in the air group. My transport have 14 out of 14 ready, but with 40 allowed max (T2), the 50% setting stopped them. With 10% they show up as available.

So I can't confirm your bug.

Good tip to remember: set up Air Doctrine properly and they fly... using a low max required gets more missions...

Ok, I've downloaded the game off the server and can repeat the problems you are having. I can't explain it. I'll try to get someone to look at it this week. I'd keep playing and see if it clears up on the next turn.

Thanks for the quick response. Maybe it's an upgrade issue. I double-checked the Night Missions settings and they are still set to No.

I'll let you know what happens next turn.

i face the same problem in my game as axis player. the railhead is right behind the air bases and i still can not get a single fuel supply flight to take off.

i hope this will be fixed soon because this bug makes the game nearly impossible for the german player in 41.

For what it's worth Air Supply is working in another game I'm playing. The turn was sent to me by an opponent who had already upgraded to 1.07.08.

I played through without air supply and finished my turn. Unfortunately my German opponent now has the same problem. We are suspending our game until we hear from you.

The game is saved on the Multiplayer server as tdv20 vs. Shupov. Please let me know when it can be fixed.

I ended your turn and went to the German turn and it showed the percent ready to fly as 125. This could be because of the changes that get made to convert a server game to a regular game. Can you have your oponent confirm that his percent ready to fly is not set at 125 (or so high that no planes will fly)? Thanks.

That must have been it. My opponent used Air Supply in his turn.

Thanks again!
