So first time i buy into an early alpha. Doorkickers...pause able real time tactical swat type game. they have their own kickstarter type thing from their website, $8 dollar buy in.

Here's some links with more info.

Their site.... http://inthekillhouse.com/

thread with info and vids and screen shots.. http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=5265.0

Check it out, i'm having fun with it. remember it's early alpha, but except for freezes when i alt tab i haven't had any crashes.

Yeah the early videos looked nice to be honest. Some sort of fast paced Jagged Alliance.
Say this "early Alpha" thing, it's a sort of Steam rival of Kickstarter ain't it?

Been in contact with the developer for a couple of weeks. They know what they want and have the right ideas. Was even priviledged enough to try the Alpha earlier and give some advice.

If successful they are thinking about doing special forces expansion packs.

Frozen Synapse II?

Not quite. Not as rigid as that game..your units have more of a TAC AI..Similar in some respects though. However they themselves don't see it as something like FZ.

I enjoyed frozen synapse, but support seemed to drop off. Frozen synapse is turned based so multiplayer is easier while Doorkickers is pausable real time. They could learn alot from frozen synapse's order chaining, there was alot of possible order combinations.Looking forward to see what they add, an editor is a must in my book.

It's skirmish, not tactical.

I like the boardgame-like graphics. Maybe I'll buy it if it will have a linux version and won't be too expensive.
