It's not that bad to still see the old squad in use, it's the rare upgrades despite nothing in pool with understrength units. I hoped the mot squad (+) would not be a problem (no upgrade path, phased-out in OBs in autumn 43) but it is a problem. It partially works for standard mot squads judging from your screen.

How's your situation with the AT-Guns? Lots of understrength 37mm components in units vs low usage of 75mm guns?

Ran a short test no paths and with paths from June to end of August and 94,000 more men in OOB and 94,000 less in manpower pool. Also I looked at allot of infantry divisions and almost everyone is down 1 CV and some 2 CV. This is ai vs ai so the tempo is lower then H v H so thats the low end, so the effect is real.

I am doing a longer path test, but will take a day to get to Oct 43 and Jan 44 and several more to complete game.

I will run one from 11/42 to June 43 at some pt over the next week.

Grats on fix 2by3, play on!!

The manpower pool started at 500,000 ish with 1,000,000 arm pts no paths

With paths 400,000 ish manpower and 1,000,000 arm pts.

It is working, mybee not as fast as we would like, but working. I am guessing based on DV v A-games AAR that when mud hits the manpower will drop by 200000 to 300000 men. And the over all effect will be a wash with current ruleset. Yes sure things could work better, but with wite2 and witw ramping up this is what we have other then mybee a quicky to fix fuel issue and SHC 41 NM issue.

On going games really need to be rolled back to June aka turn 102, because the effect is a hit to CV.

T-105 of the '42 Scenario test running AI verses AI with 7.07 installed on T-49. Less than half of the divisions have upgraded. As shown, there are plenty of manpower and armaments. Perhaps 2.3 can list the things that that would prevent the 7 ID from upgrading to new style squads.

In all the games (no-path) I saw only 26 divisions had converted as of Jan 44 so it is working better (path) as there are 89 converted

What do CV lvls look like on converted and non converted?

Answering my own question, units must be in refit mode and (probably) off the line. Static units will not upgrade. After stepping through three turns focusing on the not upgraded units, there are now 138 that have upgraded and there re old style squads in the active pool. The upgraded units are static are are adjacent to enemy units. The nice thing is that it appears that the upgrade happens as soon as the unit is eligible unlike the swap logic. While these 50 some divisions got '43 rifle squads, it appears that not a single division picked up 75 MM AT guns.

This is manageable.

Yes.

1. New Rule - Only recon air groups may be transferred to German Army Airbases. No air groups may be assigned directly from the National Reserve to German Army Airbases.

For some reason this part of the change is in the final code, but the other part didn't get in. We'll fix it next week.

I think 95 also needs to upgrade to 96. It is in June 44 in a 42 AI verses AI test game. The 95 type also goes out of production on 12/43 and 6 months later, it is still in almost all of the Panzer divisions and is far below TOE. In this test the Germans have over 122K manpower and over a million armament points in the active pool.

My rifle squads continue to upgrade very slow - on average about two infantry divisions upgrade to the new squads every turn. Not sure if this is as expected as it seems kind of slow to me. It could be due to the fact that I have no armaments....any thoughts? I forget exactly what turn I'm on but is early February '44.

I had 45 divisions upgrade in one turn. Requirements:
1. Enough armament points
2. In refit mode.
3. Not adjacent to an enemy controlled hex. (Hex, not unit).

As long as its higher then the 2% chance that it was before fix I be happy with 25%.

The problem is as I though, games past 11/42 are damaged.

Your in 44 which is DOA.

Even at 2 or 3 per turn starting in Nov 42 you have about 135 divisions changed over by now.

Almost all the games before fix had 26 divisions up-dated, for some reason they all stuck at that number. So your at 43 wooot!!!

The problem is your under hvy pressure so you simply will not convert them fast.

Thanks for the replies - it seems that I'm too far gone to recover. No armaments points and heavy pressure by the Red army. I'll play out the game and hope for the best which in my case will be to make it past January '45.

1. Formula Change - Greatly reduced the chance that a unit below its national morale will receive the die(10% of national morale) increase in morale.

Is fixed. Thanks

1. Fixed a bug that was allowing non-recon air groups to transfer to German Army Airbases (the new rule created in 1.07.07 was not working correctly).
