I am running the latest beta (1123f) together with Andy Mac's Scenario and AI Update (Oct 16, 2012).

Does anybody know what files have the AI variations?
I want to play scenario 1 against AI with the latest data files but with the stock AI files.

No, they're not.
There is a number of files which are activated randomly at the start of a new campaign.
That much I know. What I don't know is the name of those files.
Could be something like aei00y-0x.dat or so but as I said, I'm not sure and want to know.


EDIT: I posted the question in the Tech forum, and wdolson answered:
