Just thought everyone would like to see what August '44 looks like for me in CenPac as Japan

n01487477,

At least you get your Kamikazes on January 1, 1944 now.

That is pretty interesting! Never even considered the idea of going for the Kurile Islands in 42. A hail mary indeed!!!

I guess that did not trigger invasion reaction forces. Only the last island is coded as a home island?

Wish you were doing an AAR ... this would be a good fight to watch.

That should trigger invasion forces, though those forces appear on Honshu, not in the Kuriles.

I would like to see an AAR....while this move definitely does force the Japanese player to divert resources from other theaters, it ultimately should serve-up alot of POWs on a silver platter.

Damian knows what to do, but this will end badly for Floyd. Maybe a worthwhile sacrifice to stop expansion elsewhere, but an expensive sacrifice. That position can't be held vs. a determined Japanese player

How the hell did you get East of New Caldonia? Did he just run away and let you run amock? I did not even try in my game as Japan as I knew I would not be able to hold it. Even NC is waaaay too far away for Japan. Of course if you are going to do this, then as you have done, you need to keep going East to prevent the Allied to have any major staging areas to push back easily.

I agree with Q-Ball in that if KB is still going strong, what the Allies have done is just a bunch of VPs waiting to happen lol.

Execpt for the area East of NC, you and I had about the same area captured
