Tutorial on implementing 3D graphics

Post by Conrad mana »

I've been working with a freeware program called Blender for a while now and used it to create animations and still graphics for close combat purposes.

If people are interested I could create a serie of video tutorials on implementing 3D graphics. For example creating a vehicle and texturing it etc. I already shared one tutorial with Catharthes but if more people would like to know then I'll make a video serie.

Kind regards,
Conrad

yes please, and thanks
I'm particularly interested in the trees and shrubs seen in your recent map ... although with Normandy types.
How to create trees and small trees/shrubs (for hedges) ... and separate shadows, as well as getting them in game would be very helpful.

Maybe do a video tutorial where you make one vehicle from scratch and then we ask questions about the things we didn't understand. Also please post that video you shared with Cathartes.

Thanks!

Hi Exil,

Currently I'm developing the graphics/animations for Gateway to Caen.

That's why I'm currently occupied but I understand your point. My plan is to release a few tutorials based on requests but also some basics on how I developed the map graphics (for gateway to Caen); this includes effects and static objects such as cars, wagons and animals etc.

Since the upcoming 3D version of Close combat (The Bloody First) creating 3D objects might be even more interesting to most of the modders out here.

If you have any requests you can always send me a pm
