My current opponent in my grand campaign game is going to be unable to do turns for a bit and may not be able to get out turns on a regular basis for quite some time after that, so I am looking for something of a secondary game in the meantime. Even once my other game gets back into full swing though, I should still be able to do a turn each day – some days two. (With the limited focus of the Guadalcanal scenario, it should be pretty easy to crunch out turns “on the side”.) I'd like to play the BigBabes Guadalcanal scenario with the extended map and stacking limits. I really prefer a somewhat historical approach with no “gamey” tactics. A proposed list of HRs is below. They are not set in stone and are open for negotiation. 1) No single-ship TFs except in cases where the player wishes to disperse ships fleeing from a perceived enemy threat (ships dispersing to avoid superior surface or CV forces would be perfectly fine, but using single-ship pickets and naval-attack magnets is not). Basically, don't form TFs just to be bait to suck up SCTFs' ammo and/or absorb enemy airstrikes. 2) Sweeps and CAP no higher than second best maneuver rating. 3) No 4E naval attacks below 10000' (exception - naval aircraft (PBYs, Emilys etc) may do so). 4) Night bombing restricted to max of one squadron per target base, max of one squadron launched from a given base on a given night, and no attacks from the same base on back-to-back nights. 5) No more than 6 PTs in a TF and no more than 2 PT TFs in a hex. Hopefully someone out there is game.
