Commanders report offers a "set new mode"-insert for refitting Pioneer Bns, but doesn't seem to respond when set to 1 - at least the report screen doesn't react with a change from "ready" to "refit". Can't Pio Bns be ordered to do so?

Support units are on permanent refit, this is only for changing status of combat (on-map) units.

Thanks or clarification. However, CR screen says "ready" and I couldn't find anything helpful under 18.3 (Refit Mode)in the manual.

quote:

7.4. SUPPORT UNITS
Support units are always in refit status, with the exception of detached construction battalions.
Though they have no organic movement capability, support units will consume supplies and
fuel and gain fatigue when units to which they are attached are moved. They will also take
combat and non-combat losses and suffer retreat attrition along with the unit to which they
are attached.
