Thanks tj,

I did find a B-Wing online. I found several views but none were top down so I kind of had to cut and paste a top down view together. I think it looks pretty okay. I replaced the fighter in both families 19 and 21 and the bomber in 19 with this image.

The base images came from photobucket and a guy named 50stone.

One more change - I decided to use TJ's fantail Ginivex-class starfighter as the geonosian bomber in family18.

Here is the picture:

There are plenty of good images out there for the 'flight' mode but not the 'combat s-foils locked in position mode.'
I found this lego version top down... looks like you did a good job cobbling it together

I never ever monkeyed with it because of the very reason you are seeing... it is hard to find a good top down combat mode model.

I read an idea in the other Star Wars mod about making X-Wings the escort. I liked the idea and so here is a file with 4 X-Wings put together into one escort ship pic. I will also be adding the different rebel squadron names into my ship names file so that when I build escorts, they will be named things like Red Squadron and Rogue Squadron. So as not to have individual fighters and escorts the same ships, I changed the fighter to an A-Wing model from TJ's ship pack.

Here is pic of them in action along with two Frigates also on the screen.

As a side note, I did try to make the squadron with 5 X-Wings, but for some reason, only 4 would have thrusters showing. It seemed weird to have 4 X-Wings with thrust plumes and 1 without and them all moving together, so I made it 4 X-Wings instead.

Tie Fighters might look good too...

I like the idea of having 4 XWings as 1 escort!

I agree. The only issue is that escorts are not as manueverable as fighters... but I did that myself.
Now that fighters are a part of the game... :)

Hi guys. I've done a mod based on the Extended Universe Mod with Star Wars races and other things, and I used elements of this mod by Donkuchi, and also images made by tjhkkr and lordxorn.
Of course I will give you credits.
Also, the forum system doesn't let me post links until I make 10 posts and wait 7 days after that, so I'll have to wait.

------

Edit: Ok, I posted it without the "www" and "http" parts. Try the mod out if you want!

Good job, Gold! no issues yet, played most of the night. Que - Will it work with the new Beta patch (fixing the 'monster' zoom in crash)?

Cheers,

Tony
