Gentlemen (and yes, Gräfin Zeppelin as well...),

Just wondering what the value of the Base Travel Time stands for (days, weeks?) and most importantly, where is it used, e.g. the off-map repair base or the base I want to send my damaged ships to the off-map naval repair yard. There's no real explanation in the WitP AE Editor document.

Regards,

Klink, Oberst

off map bases have a hex-grid location used to calculate distances when ships are ordered to do off map movement. From the editor manual...and I think this will solve your question.

3.6.3.2 Base Only
Base Travel Time is the one way travel time from this base to an off map repair shipyard. This travel
time assumes the ship can travel at a cruise speed of 15 knots. Slower ships will take more time. This
is used in non-full map scenarios where ships can move off map from their main bases so as to repair
and upgrade.

I have never used this, and according to the comments, it is only in use in partial map scenarios.

Thanks for the answer, but I was aware of the facts stated in the editor manual.
So, what is the travel time then, weeks, days? In the editor, what value and where to put into the field 'Base Travel Time'? Let's say in the Guadalcanal scenario; you can send the damaged ships to either Osaka (JAP) or Pearl Harbour (USA); though I haven't seen any entries in the BTT in the scenario file itself.
