Do the playtesters have any reports on how the war in China goes? I'm still a little worried that Japan will crush China at this map scale.

For me, it is too early to conclude this. One thing is certain: the Japanese has some tough decisions to make, regarding China with the large map and the extra cities. It isn't a walk over at all and it might be better for the Japanese to defend in China... Which than results in a very long stalemate on the front. And that was what historically happened, wasn't it.

There is an AAR for the war in China. It was run in summer of 2009 and can be found a few pages back in the directory.
