When I was playing on my old desktop I never had this problem.

Now, as the game progresses through the turn the sightings and reinforcement lists (to name the most important) flash by so rapidly that I can not read/digest them. The "battles" seem to obey the delays listed in preferences. I still get a full Operations Report but reading through it and figuring out what happened where is tedious.

Any way to slow things down a little bit?

Go to the preferences section while you have the game up and make sure that your delays are set. Once when I patched up they all got reset to zero. Also there is a hot key that will turn combat delays "on and off" Pretty sure it is control Z but somebody needs to confirm this. It should toggle the replay between .1 sec and whatever your setting are.

I tried Cntrl Z which didn't work and then broke down and searched for the manual and found the "Message Delay Hotkey" is Cntrl S. In any case neither worked.

One interesting aside was that during the Replays of the turn the torpedoing of the AKAGI did not occur in exactly the same way: in the first run through the Akagi was shown to be hit by a torpedo well forward; in the second run through the Akagi was shown to be hit by a torpedo directly midships.

CNTL-S to slow down, CNTL-F to speed up.

Never used the Cntl keys for this... space bar works for me to turn message delay on/off...(on my laptop there is usually a 5-10 second delay before I see the msg "Message delay off (on)"). On latest prod patch.
