This unit arrived at the eastern us port and stayed for three days. Can someone tell me what it was or did? It has now disbanded.

It adds its equipment to your equipment pools.

Pool question : does each base have a pool or is the pool for all bases? If I have a CM in Seattle loading mines, can it head to Vancouver and load plenty more? The CM in Seattle gets a couple of mines a turn so I would like to know if this can be sped up.

The pools are universal.

If your CM is only loading 1-2 mines /turn that probably means that your pool (for that type mine) is empty, and the ship is loading mines as they are produced. If that is the case, it does not matter if you stay in Seattle or move to another large port.

It was a design choice in AE to limit the number of available mines. After you dispose of your initial pools, you might manufacture enough to fill one or two CMs or DMs each month.

Is THAT what those convoys do!?

I always wondered why they were modeled at all...
