OKH has called for a halt to my offensive(80% shock for two turns).I had hoped to get into a better position for the assault on Paris but never mind the main thing for me to do now is get my armies ready for the next stage of the offensive.
I need to get these two turns of shock out of the way and manuever into a better position for the final assault when my next shock bonus appears (TO germans continue the offensive)

Status: offline 		Turn 47 is mostly used resting and moving a few units around into better positions for the final assault the offensive will continue on turn 48 every turn is precious as the French reorg units will appear about 8 turns after case yellow starts this comprises 4x motorised corps 3x Armd divs 2x AT Bdes and 2x Arty Divs my battle worn troops wont want to fight them for too long.
The map below shows the early stages of the build up of forces to execute operation Marita the invasion of Yugo slavia which will start as soon as some Whermacht units are available.

The rest period for the Whermacht is over i dont know if this is the right decision but im continuing my assault on the Paris defenders now rather than wait for the Germans continue the attack TO,Im concerned about the arrival of the French reorg forces they are due to appear in about three turns if i can take Paris before then i may lose less squads??
Army Group A supported by Army Group B assault heavy concentrations of French units some attacks are great succeses but some realy hurt my assault forces but headway is made towards Paris.

The effects of the 3.4 patch are realy starting to hurt now the French are sitting tight and absorbing punishment like you cant imagine attack after attack are repulsed im obviously doing something wrong the German army and airforce are wasted i should have waited for the next shock bonus this is seige warfare,What does Blitzkreig meen again ??

Status: offline 		you need to make a "mad dash" for paris VERY FAST.
Why surround it? It is a supply point, take Paris and all your problems are gone (the counter withdraw).
Attack with your Panzers directly into the city, nothing else.

You started the attack on Belgium and Netherlands on turn 38. Now, 8 turns later, you stand on the outskirts of Paris. Faster then RL, I think. Yes, the French may delay their defeat a round or two (or three). But victory is at hand :) Rotate, use your higher supply level and soon Mr. H. will get his PR-Fotos from the Eiffel-Tower.

My aim isnt to surround Paris but to assault from multiple directions,Ive alreadt tried a more direct approach but the French didnt seem to want to retreat and losses mount very fast with the 3.4 patch, battering my way through with Panzers hasnt worked

Status: offline 		Most of your troops are in deep red the luftwaffe too and you attack with minimize losses (i can only see this pic) and you think you can push aside a well entrechend enemy??
Those are stacks with a yellow or even a red indicator so there are a lot of soldiers in this trench you want to conquer...
instead of swinging around paris those panzer should take 2 rounds of supply and this only works (acceptable) with NOT MOVING!! them

Yes all units are rotated and rested and yes a lot of units are going in to the red the week long turns soon tite units out the more time I wait and rest the more french I will have to fight the assault on Paris will be bloody

Status: offline 		We have moved on to turn 51 now i seem to have lost turn 50.

The assault on Paris continues both sides have suffered heavy losses,For the allies this isnt a problem as the French army wil disband when Paris falls but for the German army to many losses now will meen future operations may be delayed while the army rebuilds.
The Italians have declared war on Britain and France,Italian troops have crossed the French southern border and will secure the south of France while the DAK Panzer Corps will deploy to Northern France i need the extra firepower.
Im not sure yet what my strategy in North Africa will be but for now the Italians are on a defensive footing.

My attacks from the last turn drove the French back from the three hex's south of Paris allowing me to assault from 3 sides.Several combat rounds followed the French stubbornly held onto the city despite very heavy losses support from the surrounding French army units have turned this tturn into a bloodbath.
In southern France the Italians are advancing slowly westwards and engageing the few French units they come across.

Paris is captured the German army threw the kitchen sink at the French losing 2000 HRS in one week,Even though this version of the scenario is updated for 3.4 i have learnt that attacking is still very difficult and will have to execute Barbarossa much better or the war in the east will be over before it starts.

The Fuhrer smiles as Paris is captured for good but the cost has being to high,The invasion of the Soviet Union will have to wait until 1941 although Yugoslavia and Greece will soon be in the Axis influance.
In North Africa the Italians are still on a defensive footing and large numbers of Italian troops will be used in operation Marita the invasion of Yugoslavia.
The Finish frontier remains quiet i think the Soviets are waiting for the winter shock bonus

The French have surrendered and the Vichy government is set up,The German army in France is resting or railing back east apart from a small force that has caught up with some British engineers near Calais and are fighting it out.
The British and Commonwealth forces have landed on Corsica in the Med and have captured the island after defeating the weak Vichy garrison.
In the Horn of Africa the Italians are under seige in Addis Abbaba i hope they will put up at least a bit of a fight.

Status: offline 		Congratulations on beating the old enemy ;) May we know, how much HRS you lost so far? I'm still wondering, if EA2012 is balanced, as the replacement rates are the same as in the 3.2. version, but losses are much higher under 3.4.
Also wondering, why your opponent landed on Corsica. I don't have the feeling, that Britain has too much troops in 1940. You will go for Crete and Cyprus, I guess. So you will not only have a stronger DAK, but also threaten Egypt by sea-landing, forcing Britain to hold back a strong garrison in Egypt. If he has too much troops, maybe they would have been used better in Cyprus. Well, we'll see

Operation marita has started the Germans supported by the Italians and Hungarians have invaded Yugoslavia,Yhe Yugoslavs put up some stiff resistance on the borders however i will bypass what enemy units i can and head straight for Belgrade.
In the middle east numerous commonwealth units have invaded the Levant where Damascus is under seige and in the Horn of Africa Addis Ababa has fallen to the Allies.

The Axis invasion of Yugoslavia builds momentum,German and Italian forces are holding Yugoslav units in the north west to enable the Hungarians to assault Belgrade from the North,Im using the Hungarians mainly to save the German units from losing more Heavy rifle squads far to many where lost in the battle for France.
In the Levant the Vichy French still hold Damascus but i doubht they will last much longer,Im not sure yet how much i will commit my Italians to north Africa as they are going to have to do a lot of the fighting in Yugoslavia and Greece

Operation Marita continues German and Hungarian army units continue to push towards Belgrade while i hold a large part of the Yugoslav army in the west,Belgrade will be assaulted next turn.
In the Levant the Anzac Mech Brigade has captured Damascus i guess thy opponent will turn his attention towards Libiya next.

The German and Hungarian armies are assaulting Belgrade my losses so far in this campain have been fairly light so i hope to capture Belgrade soon and keep my units in good shape.
The Italian and Bulgarian armies have started the war against Greece i will use them to tie up as many Greek units as possible then let the heavy German infantry corps assault Athens

Belgrade falls the casualty list is not to bad the German army is railing troops south to Greece while to rest of the German army rebuilds its strenght in Poland.
The Greek campain is moving along as the Italians and Bulgarian units engage and tie down as many Greek army units as they can i expect the Greek army to dig in just north of Athens and make me attack on a narrow front

They are indeed they tie down a lot of troops although i will decide how to deal with them when Greece is conquered and Yugoslavias rail network is less important.

The Italian and Bulgarians are advancing slowly and trying to stop Greek army units from escaping south towards Athens.The German army is sending mountain troops and Arty plus a Lt Pzr Corps to ensure the Greeks speedy defeat.
Ive missed an opportunity to assault crete as my opponent has managed to dig a British infantry division in at Suda bay ive learnt a lesson there.

The assault towards Athens has begun the arrival of a light Pzr Corps has tipped the battle in my favour,The Luftwaffe and other Axis airforce units are heavily supporting the assault troops.

The final assault lasts for multiple combat rounds the attacking forces have suffered some heavy losses although the British Med fleet was destroyed in Athens harbour.My forces in the Balkans will now concentrate on anti partisan duties.

We move on to turn 78 the German army is gathering its forces along the Soviet border while the antipartisan campain is under way in Yugoslavia.
The British 8th Army is on the move in North Africa and has captured Cyrenaica and is ready to assault El Agheila,A powerfull British fleet is offshore and get attacked by Stuka's causing considerable damage.
