So far all I've noticed is that routing happens less. They retreat instead. When they rout they now rout, if necessary, a LONG way, to get to cover/safety. I see them fleeing over 2 or 3 km, often through their own lines. That's a long way to run, I think. It achieves the purpose, however.

I'm new to the game so I have very little to compare it to but even with my brief experience pre and post Beta it seems that I'm seeing an even mix of retreat and rout but units that rout do rout a long way and it seems that command platoons seem to rout in greater proportion to their subordinates...I realize they are smaller in size to begin with but not sure why if a full strength company is attacking its the command platoon that seems to be taking the brunt of the casualties...also, in one case the command platoon retreated not back towards its subordinate units but in the opposite direction towards enemy territory.

pacwar,

Welcome. By "command platoon" do you mean a HQ - ie a unit with a flag on its command bar. If so, HQs should not be participating in an assault. Can you please provide a screen dump (hit print screen and paste into MS Paint and save as a jpeg and upload here ) and a save game so I can step through and find out what's going on. Thanks.
