I'd love to buy this game, but will it run on an old XP system:

Intel P4-3.0mhz with hyper-thread
4 gigs sdram
1gig agp ati video card
Windows XP (SP3)
plenty of hard drive space

I hope it may be close to a low end duel-core processor, but I'd like to ask the audience for some opinions before I hit the "buy" button.

I doubt it mate, it needs a fairly beasty computer to run.  Try the demo first, that is the only way you will know.

It should run fine.
Im running it on a P8600 2.4ghz
3GB RAM
512MB Nvidia card
Win 7
Its like a four year old laptop. You might see some slowdown in the bigger battles but its totally playable.

Yeah, especially for Chancellorsville since it is more FPS friendly than Gettysburg. I ran the game on a six year old laptop for a year when I was a beta tester. There are many graphics options to adjust; you should be fine.
