Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I will continue to look at the engineering/entrenchments. I would say, however, my current playtest results (German vs PO), even with the present settings, the German Fifth Panzer Army has a relatively easy go of it the first few days, crossing the Our and Clerf Rivers. I have tinkered with increasing the proficiency/supply/readiness levels of the US 110 Inf Rgt, increasing the difficulty of the terrain, and bridging for the Germans.
Even so, the Germans can clear the Clerf River a day ahead of historic, and in my present play test, the Aufklarung Abteilung of 116.Pz Div has cleared Gouvy, and the those of 2.Pz and Lehr Divisions are poised to attack TF Rose at Longvilly as dawn breaks on the 18th.
