I have a game going with Amaranthus and upon reviewing the turn the game crashes just as it trying to finish. Any help with this one? Corrupt game save?

What a pain! Maybe the new patch will fix this? Do you mean it crashes after the replay of my turn, or as you go to submit your turn?

What is the crash message? (if any) - and are your graphics drivers up to date?

It crashes on viewing your turn. I do get a error message telling me that the game has stopped responding and windows is closing it down. I don't think its a graphics issue.

Sorry, I should have said. The log is in Documents/My Games/Commander the Great War

It's called ctgw.log

It gets overwritten each time you play, so load the game till you get the error, then open up the log with notepad.

CarnageINC, I had a problem with my other PBEM game yesterday, where it wouldn't load. But after some playing around, I got it to work.

Instead of loading it from the main screen, I first clicked on the My Games area. Then I selected the game, and waited until it refreshed and loaded the icon of my opponent (switched from shadowed portrait to that of Joffe in this case). Then I clicked to start it, and it worked. This was after having the game hang twice previously (no error message, just nothing happened and mouse trails were left on the screen).

Might be worth a shot? The other hope is that the first patch might fix this?

It didn't go at all...still stuck at the same point of the replay. I'm just waiting the 30 days till the game is forfeit to erase it from the server.

I though after 30 days of no response a game was forfeit? I've had a game that I can not continue due to file corruption or whatever and its still in my directory. Is it possible for someone of higher authority to remove this game from the server? This is one against Amaranthus. I would greatly appreciate it if you could

I can delete it from the server but I am able to continue this game without problems. Could you try with latest patch installed (1.1.4). Is your game modded?

Ahh, I did mod my LUA to extend the war end date to past 1918. Could this have done it? We are still currently in 1918 however.

Nope, it still crashes at the same spot, when Amaranthus moves his cruiser NW of Britain. I'm updated and non-mod'ed.

Jonnybravo, could you please delete the game. Thanks.

Amaranthus I'm willing to start a new game in a week or two from now if you wish, I'll be outta town till then.
