I see that the final book of William Manchester's biography of Winston Churchill has been published. I have been waiting twenty years. Due to Manchester's poor health (died 2004) the third book was largely written by journalist Paul Reid. I just ordered it.

BTW-a little bird has told me to expect the third book in Rick Atkinson's trilogy on WWII to be out very soon.

thanks for posting this great news, crsutton - i've been looking forward to both of these.

i hope Mr. Reid had enough chops to pull it off w/ dignity - the 1st two volumes showed Wm. Manchester at the top of his game, it'd be a tough act to follow.

Amazon.com shows a release date of 14 May 2013.
