Hi all

Where can I get k43t_apos_upd_dist_taran_rakit_may12_eng.exe file?

Was reading czar1111's guide section 5?

Do I need it as I'm fully uptodate with the various patches and DLC.

Is it included in any of the older patches/DLC

Cheers in advance

Kate that update only works for I think Gamers gate DLC..it doesn't work for Strat First DLC.

The only update you really need is the August 2012 update..

Goto the Graviteam Forums..the info is there.

Hi Kate,You can get your game updated here for August 2012 with these patches or register for a free account at Gamersgate for the patches. But I don't know where you will be able to find the May stuff any more because everything is now for August 2012.

Wodin the district update will work for the core game regardless of where it was bought.Since the district update only effects the maps of Rakitnoe and Taranovka in the core game which isn't considered a DLC.

DLC version updates are different though, there are no patches for them and they can't be manually updated, which means you will have to hope the publisher has sold you the most current version of the DLC that they currently have.

Thee only place I'm aware of that sells everything for this series(Core game plus every DLC) would be Gamersgate.

Before you buy anywhere else it would be a good idea to check and see exactly what it is they are selling and if the series is supported and regularly updated with current versions and patches.

Version differences of the DLCs are very minor and hardly noticable unless you know exactly what was modified, the games are still playable and the version differences do not alter the playability of the game. They're mostly just some little bugs that have been reworked.I've yet to notice any thing that distinguishes one DLC version from the other and would be hard pressed to point out just what makes one version different from the other or if it is significant enough to really matter.

Also, the district updates are optional and are not needed to play the game. Its mainly for flavor, with a few tweeks concerning broken RR tracks that didn't connect.Since there are no trains in the game the RR track fix does nothing but add visual continuity, some visual weather effects are included in the district update also.Basicallly, all the changes are visual and have no bearing on actual play.

I thought the separate map updates didn't work either only the main patch.

Seeing as I bought all my DLCs and Core game from Gamersgate.I'm probably not the one that should be giving advice on patching a game bought from another place other than Gamersgate.

I was under the impression that the only problem was the DLC versions not being upgradable and current when bought outside of GG.

No one has complained so far that I'm aware of about the district updates not taking to the core game purchased from other distributors.

I think we need someone here who has purchased outside of GG to chime in and explain if they have added the district update to their game and if so did they encounter any problems with the district updates while updating.

I ran the district update last night on my Matrix game version. It ran with no problem so I now have the the new updater, version 5.81 and the district update all installed.

also the district update is not an .exe file but a .gt2extension file

Cool..think I'm getting confused with the poly update to some map can't remember what the update was called but it doesn't work with Strat Firts purchase. All other updates work fine though.

Had no problem installing the patches, updates and DLC though game wouldn't start.......dll issue?
Eventually got issue resolved though.

Is there a specific order in which the patches, updates and DLC get installed?

Cheers again

(1)Update 1st to 5.81 engine,

(2)Then patch with aug 2012 patch

No particular order for the rest, though I went with district update next then added the DLC addons.

Just make sure your game gets updated to the 5.81 engine 1st before adding the Aug patch, that is the most important.
