Hi,

So, I just got this game 3 days ago (early Christmas present!) and I really like what I'm seeing. However, I do have a question; does this game model the withdrawing of units to other theaters?

Historically, the German 11th army was broken up after the fall of Sevastopol, and the majority of its units (along with Von Manstein) were sent north to Leningrad. Does this happen in this game?

As a WITP veteran, one of my favorite features with that game is how, as the allied commander, your superiors would request ships as they had historically been withdrawn from the pacific theater. You could keep your ships, but you had to pay political points for that.

I think a similar feature (if it does not exist already) would be an already wonderful addition to Case Blue's regime cards.

No there isnt any withdrawal, although in my Trappenjard campaign I didnt actually get most of the heavy artillery that is available at the start of Case Blue campaign.

Vic explained his reasoning elsewhere, but he was worried about it being a bit too gamey as if you know you are going to have to withdraw units you can use them as a battering ram against the Soviet defences and not worry about losses.
